CONWAY - Libby Scott of the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team has been named the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is the first weekly honor for a Chanticleer this season and second Player of the Week nod for Scott in her Coastal career.

The junior from Dunedin, New Zealand, recorded wins at No. 1 singles and doubles this past week as the Chants lost a tough 4-3 match at UNC Greensboro.

Scott, paired with teammate Romane Delay, started the match with an 8-4 doubles win on the first court. Coastal ultimately surrendered the doubles point, but Scott gave the Chants their first point of the day, and sparked a 3-0 Coastal rally, with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Soumeya Anane on the first court.

Scott and the Chants return to the court this Saturday to host USC Upstate at noon. The match will mark the official opening of the brand new Coastal Carolina Tennis Facility.
