Men's Tennis Competes at Charlotte Invitational

Charlotte Invitational Results 
Charlotte, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team posted a combined 21-11 record in singles and doubles at the Charlotte Invitational this weekend.
The three-day tournament - which featured Richmond, Charlotte, Presbyterian and Tennessee - was shortened to just two as rain prevented any matches from being played on Saturday.
Three Chants finished as singles flight champions as Jabor Al-Mutawa won Flight #3, Nic Planchard took Flight #6 and Pedro Leme sat atop Flight #7.
The Chants did not claim any doubles flight championships, though several Coastal pairings did record wins including Sebastian Schneider/Al-Mutawa, Rick Timmerman/Leme and Francesco Migliano/Planchard.
"We had some guys out this weekend, so we really had to take a `next man up' mentality," said head coach Chris Powers. "They responded and earned some solid results. I was very pleased with our performance and this team's future looks promising."
Coastal wraps its fall schedule next weekend as the Chants head to Cary, N.C. to compete in the ITA Carolina Regional.
