Women's Soccer to Honor Four Seniors Friday

Before the game on Friday evening, the Coastal Carolina women's soccer team will hold a ceremony recognizing the four members of the 2015 Coastal Carolina senior class. Immediately following the ceremony, the game will start as the Chants take on the Winthrop Eagles.
This year's senior class includes: Miki Antzoulatos, Camille Christie, Darbie Kelley and Mikayla Williams.
"This group of seniors is a special class as they were the freshmen class that helped with the biggest turnaround in program history," said head coach Paul Hogan. "This collection of players have brought a ton of personality to this program and will be missed. Their commitment to the Coastal Carolina Soccer Program and to the local community has been inspiring. What they have done cannot be measured by wins and losses but by the legacy they leave behind. My staff, my family, and I will miss these four seniors and we wish them all the best as they play on senior night."
These seniors have been a part of 43 win career over a four-year span, tied for fourth best in CCU history. (The most wins over a four-year span is 54 from 2005-08, second-best is 48 from 2006-09/2004-07 and third-best at 45 wins from 2007-10.)
The Chants are looking to top the 11-win season last year, only needing four wins to tie it and five to top that 2014 campaign.
Each of these seniors have contributed offensively and defensively to the program over their time spent as a Chanticleer, taking the team to the Big South Semi-finals last season, the best ever in women's soccer history.
This season Coastal has not lost a game during conference play, and only four games overall. With five games remaining in league play, Coastal has its sights set to clench a regular season title and the programs first ever Big South Championship.
Break down of this year's senior class:
Miki Antzoulatos #19
A native from Huntingtown, Md., Miki has played in 63 games over her four seasons for the Chanticleers, including 30 of the team's 33 contests the last two years... She has totaled two career goals, while dishing out two assists... Both of the assists were from game-winning goals... Including one from this season during overtime to beat Longwood... Seven of her 16 shot attempts have been on goal... Her first career goal came as a sophomore in 2012 against Gardner-Webb... Miki is a three-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll member, and is also a member of the prestigious Walls Fellow program. About Miki, coach Hogan said, "Miki is inspiring for how much she is involved in the Coastal Carolina Community. She is in the Wall Fellows program, maintains a 3.5 GPA in Biology, while also being a captain for this team. Miki's hard work, love of fitness, and passion for the game will be missed."
Camille Christie #17
A native from Overland Park, Kan., Camille has played in 62 games over her four seasons for the Chants, including 34 as a starter... She has played in 30 of the team's 33 contests the last two years... As a freshman in 2012, she started 17 of 19 games... She has totaled two career goals, both of which were scored during her freshman season in 2012... She tallied her first colligated goal over Wofford that year... She also dished out four assists, including one that led to a game-winning goal over Campbell last season... Camille is a three-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll member. About Camille, coach Hogan said, "Camille is another big personality for our program. This mid-westerner has always been a key member of our team. Camille also maintains a 3.9 GPA while pursuing her Marketing degree. Her hard work, passion, and diva status will be missed."
Darbie Kelley #20
A native from Ashburn, Va., Darbie has played in 56 games over her four seasons for the Chants, including 20 of the teams 33 contests the last two years... Ranking in the top 10 in program history with nine assists in her career... With a season high of five assists last season, she moved into eighth on the programs all-time list for single season individual assists... And has tied for first in single game career record, dishing out three assists during the 2014 season to lead the team to a 4-1 victory over Gardner-Webb... She has totaled three career goals and nine assists... Scoring her first collegiate goal over VMI in the 2013 season... Darbie is a three-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll member. About Darbie, coach Hogan said, "Darbie was the first commitment to this class and she has been a regular for the Chanticleers since her arrival. Darbie has a great soccer IQ and comes from a great soccer family. Her hard work on the field is surpassed by her hard work in the classroom, where Darbie has a 3.9 GPA while pursuing a Marketing degree."
Mikayla Williams #15
A native from Stoughton, Mass., Mikayla has played in 47 games out of 53 over her three season for the Chanticleers, after transferring in her sophomore season... While maintaining the defensive line, she has totaled two career goals and dished out three assists... Her two goals were scored this season helping the Chants to victories in both... She scored her first goal in the first game of the season at Wofford... One of her assists led to a game-winning goal against Kent State in 2013... She has spent the past three seasons as one of the team's defensive leaders... Helping the team to a program setting record in 2013 recording 11 shutouts while only allowing 15 goals... She is currently ranked sixth on the team. About Mikayla, coach Hogan said, "I recruited "K" on three different occasions and I was finally able to get her commitment after her transfer from Umass. K is a huge personality and she has been a great role model to our younger players. K has earned her "Diva" status during her time here at Coastal and she will be missed."
