
Chanticleer Women Top Warren Wilson 100-49

CONWAY - The Chanticleer women's basketball team capped a Coastal basketball doubleheader Wednesday night with a 100-49 win over Warren Wilson at The HTC Center.
The win snaps Coastal's three-game losing skid, and improves the Chants' overall record to 4-4. Warren Wilson drops to 6-8 with the loss.
Coastal's offense, which entered the game averaging 71.4 points per contest, reached the century mark for the second time this season.
Nicole Isaacs led the Chants in scoring for the second straight game, following her 32-point performance against Campbell on Dec. 01 with 18 points against Warren Wilson. Olivia Carlton (11 points), Rachael Gregory (11 points) and Jas Adams (10 points) also finished in double figures.
The Chants' out-rebounded the Owls 58-30, and were led in the category by the eight boards of Patricia Albert.
Coastal shot 46.8 percent from the floor for the game while making 8-18 3-pointers and 14-20 free throw attempts.
Coastal scored the first seven points of the game in the opening two-and-a-half minutes, and continued to build its lead throughout the first half behind a 48.6 field goal shooting percentage.
N. Isaacs opened the game with 13 points in the first quarter as the senior guard shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor, including a trio of 3-pointers. She then split a pair of free throws in the second quarter to lead the Chants into the halftime break with 14 points.
The Chants' shooting dropped slightly in the second half to 45.2 percent, but Coastal did tally six more points than in the first.
Next up for Coastal is a 7:00 p.m. meeting with UNC Asheville at The HTC Center on Dec. 14. It is the second Big South opponent for the Chants (0-1) this season
