Coastal Carolina Season Stats / Record Book Update 
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Coastal Carolina freshman Malene Krolboll Hansen shot a career-best 3-under 69 on Sunday to tie for 11th on the individual leaderboard at the conclusion of the third annual Florida State Match-Up at Southwood Golf Course. Hansen's score led the Chanticleers two spots up the team rankings and into seventh at the 12-team event.
Furman, ranked 26th in the nation according to Golfstat, won the team title at the 54-hole event with a 12-over 876 score. Ninth-ranked Mississippi State and No. 17 Virginia tied for second with 19-over 883 tallies. No. 2 South Carolina placed fourth, while No. 16 Texas A&M and Kennesaw State tied for fifth. Coastal, which is ranked 42nd by Golfstat, totaled an 890 score to finish seventh, one stroke ahead of host and 38th ranked Florida State.
Bianca Fabrizio of Texas A&M defeated Taylor Totland of Furman in a two-hole playoff to claim the individual championship.
Hansen tied for 11th in the 66-competitor field with a 3-over three-round score of 219 (71-79-69). Hansen's third round 69 marked her second round under par in the tournament and fifth of her young collegiate career. In addition, the 69 was Hansen's first collegiate round in the 60s and is tied for the 12th-best 18-hole score in CCU women's golf history. The Taastrup, Denmark, native carded five birdies and 12 pars en route to her career-low round.
Lena Schaeffner tied for 20th overall after turning in scores of 75-74-74 for a 7-over 223. Schaeffner's 74 on Sunday featured four birdies. The top 20 finish was the junior's sixth this season and 19th in her 29-event career.
Emee Herbert used rounds of 76-73-76 to post a 9-over 225. Herbert's final day featured two birdies and 11 pars.
Marissa Hinchman (77-77-73) and Frida Castillo (76-78-74) totaled event scores of 227 (+11) and 228 (+12), respectively. Hinchman counted three birdies during her final round, while Castillo counted two.
The Chanticleers now turn their focus to the Bay Area Intercollegiate hosted at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif. The 54-hole tournament runs March 9-10.
