NCAA Selection Show Party and Ticket Information

March 10, 2015

CONWAY - The Chanticleer men's basketball team is making its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament after winning back-to-back Big South championships, and fans are invited to join the team for the first step of its postseason journey as Coastal Carolina University will host a NCAA Selection Show watch party on Sunday, March 15 at The HTC Center.

The event will run from 5-7 p.m. with the selection show beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the watch party is free, and all fans will receive a food voucher for a hot dog, popcorn and drink that is redeemable at The HTC Center concession stands.

CBS will be doing live look-ins throughout the evening, and the Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics encourages all fans to attend and show the nation what it means to be a Chanticleer. The CCU band and cheerleaders will be on hand to entertain the crowd, and large screens will be set on the floor to afford everyone a great view of the broadcast.

The Chanticleers are making their second trip to the Big Dance in as many years after knocking off Winthrop 81-70 in the final of the 2015 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Championship game. Coastal head coach Cliff Ellis will look back on the championship victory and speak about the road ahead during a special NCAA Tournament edition of the Chanticleer Call-In show this Thursday, March 12 from 6-7 p.m. at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest.

Tickets for the NCAA Tournament First, Second and Third Round games will be available for purchase through the Coastal Carolina Athletics Ticket Office once the tournament selections are announced on Sunday.

Fans attending the Selection Show watch party may order their tickets at The HTC Center Ticket Booth immediately following the event. Fans who do not attend the watch party can order tickets by calling The HTC Center Ticket Booth at 1-877-424-2687 or 843-347-8499 between 7-8 p.m. Sunday night, or by calling the Coastal Carolina Athletics Ticket Office in Arcadia Hall starting at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Placing an order does not guarantee you seats. The CCU Athletics Ticket Office will begin calling patrons on Monday at 12 p.m. for First Round games, or Tuesday at Noon for Second Round games, to confirm that their ticket order has been either processed or has been placed on a waiting list.

Tickets will be assigned with priority going to CAF members, men's basketball season ticket holders, then the general public.

Coastal Carolina student tickets will go on sale Monday, March 16 beginning at 9 a.m. at the CCU Athletics Ticket Office. Orders and payments will be taken in person only on a first-come, first-serve basis with a valid student ID.
