3M Augusta Invitational Final Results 
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Coastal Carolina carded final-round 300 and finished with a 54-hole score of 879 to place 13th at the annual 3m Augusta Invitational, played at Forest Hills Golf Club (par 72, 7,161 yards).
This was the Chanticleers' final meet before the 2015 Big South Championship, held April 19-21 at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety-Six.
New Mexico, ranked 25th and the 36-hole leader, shot an 8-under par 280 Sunday and finished with a three-round total of 26-under par 838 to hold off fifth-ranked Illinois (841) by three strokes. The rest of the top 10 included #33 Georgia (842), #2 Texas (844), #35 Houston (847), GRU Augusta (848), #38 Virginia Tech (852), #19 Oklahoma State (853), Tennessee (850) and #36 Clemson (867).
Olle Widegren led Coastal with a 2-under par 70 on Sunday. The sophomore climbed 18 spots to finish in a tie for 42nd with a 54-hole total of 218 (74-74-70). Widegren posted five birdies against two bogeys for his best round of the season.
Also tying for 42nd was Ben Wheeler (72-70-76=218). The senior reeled off 13 pars but was victimized by a double bogey on the par 4 1st hole for his 76.
Andrew Dorn and Ryan Carpenter each turned in rounds of 77. Dorn finished 51st (74-69-77=220), while Carpenter field for 58th (72-74-77=223). Alfredo Ruiz rounded out CCU's contingent by tying for 74th (74-76-81=231).
