JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field team wrapped up its appearance at the NCAA East Preliminary Round at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The 4x100 relay team of Kahlim Denmark, Alexander Hass, DeAndra Lipscomb and Therius Styles competed in their third event of the season and finished 20th in the event with a time of 40.60 seconds. Had they finished in the top 12, the quartet would have become the first men's relay team to advance to NCAA Championships in school history.

Earlier in the day, junior jumper Amirah Al-Bayyinah competed in the triple jump and finished 36th after recording a distance of 2.16 meters (39-10.75). It was her first appearance in the NCAAs and her fourth-best jump of the season.

Today's events conclude the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Senior jumper Reggie Nelson qualified to the NCAA Championships and will compete in the men's high jump in Eugene, Ore., from June 10-13.
