Michael Paez, Cotuit Kettleers
Was the starting shortstop for the West team and only player from Cotuit Kettleers to make the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star game ... Was named his team's Offensive MVP ... Batted a team-best .295 -- 14th-best in the league -- for the summer and was one of two players to play in all 40 games for the Kettleers ... Also led the team in runs (17), hits (38), doubles (7), walks (21) and stolen bases (8) ... His 17 runs tied for 20th in the league, his seven doubles tied for 13th, his 21 walks ranked seventh and his eighth stolen bases tied for 16th.
G.K. Young, Petersburg Generals
Selected to the Coastal Plain League All-Star game, starting for the East team as a catcher, and won the CPL Home Run Derby ... Started 41 of the team's 54 games ... Led the team with 15 doubles, seven home runs, 35 RBI and .568 slugging percentage while ranking third on the team with a .308 batting average.
