Lady Paladin Invitational Round 1 Results 
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team opened its 2015-16 campaign with 18 holes Sunday and sits ninth in the 17-team field at the Furman-hosted Lady Paladin Invitational, played on the 6,313-yard, par 72 Furman University Golf Course.
The Chanticleers carded a team score of 305 (+17) and were co-led by senior Lena Schaeffner and sophomore Malene Krolboll Hansen. Clemson lead field with a score of 290 (+2) followed by New Mexico (291) and Wake Forest (292).
Schaeffner and Hansen each carded rounds of 3-over 75. Schaeffner turned in two birdies on the day, while Hansen had one as the 2015 All-Big South selections are tied for 24th on the individual leaderboard.
Freshman Marie Lunackova shot a 5-over 77 in her first collegiate round and is tied for 46th overall. Lunackova finished the day with 11 pars and a birdie.
Senior Bailey Cocca closed the round with a 6-over 78, tying for 59th. She turned in a birdie and 13 pars. Junior newcomer Barbora Bakova shot a 9-over 81 and is tied for 76th in the 96-competitor field.
Round two of the Lady Paladin Invitational continues with 18 holes on Monday before concluding with a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
