
Women's Golf Finishes Second at Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -
The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a final round 304 to finish second at the Palmetto Intercollegiate just two strokes behind eventual champion Campbell University.
The par 72, 5,972 yard Turtle Point Golf Course played unusually tough in Monday's final round as none of the teams finished even or below par.
CCU finished the three-day event with an 881 (292-285-304) while the Camels shot a 293 on the final day to win the event with a three-day total of 879.
Malene Krolboll Hansen led the Chanticleers with a one-under 71 to finish with a three-under 213 (73-69-71) to finish second overall by one stroke to Katy Harris from Mississippi.
Marie Lunkckova and Stephanie Henning finished tied for 15th as both finished with 222 three-day totals.
Damla Bilgic finished tied for 19th after her 77 in today's round gave her a 224 and Barbora Bakova shot a 79 and finished tied for 59th with a 234.
CCU finished up the fall portion of their schedule with this event and will pick up in the spring with the Florida State Match Up which will be held Feb. 10-12 at the Seminole Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
