Women's Golf Signs Two

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's head golf coach Katie Quinney announces the signings of Sena Ersoy and Frantiska Lunackova.
Ersoy will transfer to CCU from Iowa Western Community College. A native of Istanbul, Turkey, she had a stellar career at Iowa Western where she won four tournaments in 2015; Midwest Collegiate Open, Nebraska Wesleyan Fall Invitational, Bearcat Fall Classic and finished third in the Bellevue Fall Invitational.
In 2016 she was the Regional Champion of the NJCAA and finished third at the NJCAA Nationals.
Ersoy also has many international tournaments to her credit including a three time winner at theTurkish Amateur Open (2014-15-16), 2016 European Team Shild Team Championship and in 2012, she finished fourth at the European Young Masters.
"Sena joins our program with two years of JUCO experience, where she has seen tremendous success," Quinney Said. "Sena also has international tournament experience, with multiple appearances at the World Amateur Championship as well as European championships. Her experience, maturity, and consistent nature of her scores will be a huge asset for our program in Sena's final two years of college golf."
Lunackova comes to CCU from Tyn nad Vltavou, Czech Republic. She played her high school golf for Gymnazium Tyn nad Vltavou. Frantiska is the younger sister and now collegiate teammate of CCU junior Marie Lunackova.
Lunackova is coming off a solid season where she won the 2016 International Czech Junior Amateur Championship ââ'¬" girls U18 and finished third in the 2016 Women's International Czech Amateur Championship.
She finished eighth in the 2016 European Girls Amateur Team Championship and played in the European Ladies Amateur Championship.
In 2015 Frantiska won the Faldo Series Czech Championship.
"We are very excited to have Frantiska join the Coastal family," Quinney said. "She has vast international experience and being the younger sister of Marie, she already has a solid grasp of our program and expectations. Her talents and impact will be felt immediately next season."
