2017 Women's Tennis Schedule Announced

CONWAY - Head women's tennis coach Catherine Hewitt announced the Chanticleers' 2017 spring schedule Tuesday afternoon. Coastal plays a total of 21 matches, including 10 at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
Coastal opens the season at home against Furman on Jan. 21, and follows with three more home matches against USC Upstate (Jan. 28), Campbell (Feb. 4) and UNC Wilmington (Feb. 5).
The Chants head to Greensboro, N.C., for a doubleheader against UNC Greensboro and North Carolina A&T on Feb. 19, and remain on the road for a Feb. 16 match at College of Charleston.
A home doubleheader on Feb. 19 featuring Longwood and Francis Marion is followed by a quick trip to East Carolina on Feb. 24.
The Chants open the month of March at home against Charlotte (March 5) and Richmond (March 7), then are on the road for the remainder of the month at South Carolina State (March 10), Wofford (March 18) and South Carolina (March 19). Coastal closes March with their first-ever Sun Belt Conference matches against Appalachian State (March 25) and Troy (March 26), both of which will be played in Statesboro, Ga., on the campus of Georgia Southern.
A home match against Emory on April 1 is followed by another pair of conference matches against South Alabama (April 8) and Georgia State (April 9). Both matches will be played on USA's campus.
Coastal closes the regular season at home against Charleston Southern on April.
The Chants then compete in their first Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship, set for April 20-23 in New Orleans, La.
