Famili, Adams Named NSCAA All-Region

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina forwards Daniella Familli and Amber Adams added to their list of accolades following a stellar season by being selected to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Region Teams.
Famili was selected first team All-South Region while Adams garnered a second team All-South Region honors.
Famili and Adams are the third and fourth Coastal Carolina women's soccer players to be named by the NSCAA All-Region. CCU Sasser Hall of Fame member Ashleigh Gunning was a Soccer Buzz All-Region third-team selection in 2007 and Big South Attacking Player of the Year Kacey Kelley was a NSCAA All-Region third team selection in 2014.
The NSCAA's Southeast Region includes schools from the ACC, SEC, Atlantic Sun, Sun Belt, and Ohio Valley Conference.
Famili a Stockholm, Sweden native, helped lead Coastal to a runner-up finish in the team's first season in the Sun Belt and earned first team all-conference honors. Her nine-goal season tied her career high after notching nine goals during the 2015 campaign. Famili ranks fifth on the program's all-time list with 21 career goals. She tallied four game-winning goals this season.
Adams, also a first team All-Sun Belt selection, aided the program to a Sun Belt runner-up finish. The senior quickly established herself as a force all over the field in her senior season with the Chants. She became one of the team's key players in the attack, scoring five goals and dishing out four assists. Adams finished her career as a three-time all-conference member ranking eighth in goals (13), seventh in points (38) and tied for third in assists (12) in Coastal history.
