2016 Coastal Carolina Football Schedule

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina has flipped two dates on its 2016 football schedule. The Chanticleers will now have their open date on Oct. 8 and play at Gardner-Webb on Oct. 15.

The move was part of several adjustments involving opponents of Monmouth in order to accommodate the Hawks' stadium renovation schedule.

"We know how complicated football scheduling can be," said CCU Director of Athletics Matt Hogue. "This move did not affect our home schedule and it was a simple matter of switching a road game and our open date. We were happy to assist with the request."

Coastal Carolina, playing as an NCAA Division I FCS Independent this season, will open the 2016 season on Sept. 3 at Lamar. The Chanticleers will then play the first of eight home games on Sept. 10 versus Florida A&M.
