Coastal Football Reveals 2026 Schedule with Six Home Games and National TV Matchups

CONWAY, S.C. – The Sun Belt Conference officially announced its 2026 football schedules on Friday. Coastal Carolina's 12-game slate features four non-conference games, six home contests at Brooks Stadium, and two nationally televised matchups on ESPN networks.

"Our players and coaches are excited about the challenge this schedule presents," said head coach Ryan Beard. "We'll be tested early with a strong non-conference slate that will help prepare us for the grind of Sun Belt play. Every week in this league we will face high quality programs and coaching staffs. We are looking forward to the opportunity to compete and represent Coastal Carolina the right way. Chants Up!!"

Coastal will open the season on the road on Sept. 5 with a trip to Morgantown, to face West Virginia. Coastal will then return to Conway the following week for its home opener against Fordham on Sept. 12 at Brooks Stadium. The game will feature a special Beach Bash and serve as the program's annual White Out contest.

Coastal will travel to Delaware on Sept. 19 before returning home for a nationally televised Thursday night matchup against Liberty on Sept. 24. The game will air on an ESPN linear network, with the specific channel to be announced at a later date, and will serve as the program's annual Teal Out game.

Sun Belt Conference play begins with a home matchup against Georgia Southern on Oct. 3. The game will honor the 2026 Coastal Carolina Hall of Fame class and take place during Family Weekend.

The Chanticleers will then travel to Marshall on Oct. 10 before returning home for a nationally televised Friday night matchup against Appalachian State on Oct. 16. The contest will air on an ESPN linear network, with the specific channel designation to be announced at a later date, and will feature the annual "Wait 'Til You See This Game." Last season, Coastal Carolina debuted its first "Wait 'Til You See This Game" during a nationally televised matchup against Marshall on ESPN2 at Brooks Stadium.

"We're excited about the opportunities this schedule presents for our program and our fans," said Coastal Carolina Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation Chance Miller. "Playing in front of Teal Nation at Brooks Stadium is always special, and having two nationally televised matchups creates a great atmosphere for our student-athletes and supporters while showing the rest of the country what Coastal is all about."

Following a bye week, Coastal will travel to Georgia State for a Halloween matchup on Oct. 31.

The annual Homecoming game will take place on Nov. 7 when Coastal hosts Old Dominion with a Black Out theme before welcoming Arkansas State to Brooks Stadium on Nov. 14 as the Chanticleers honor their senior class along with veterans during Senior Day and Salute to Service activities.

Coastal will close out the regular season with back-to-back road games at Louisiana on Nov. 21 and at James Madison on Nov. 28.

Game times and television designations for select games will be announced at a later date.
