BUIES CREEK - Coastal Carolina grabbed a pair of victories over Campbell Tuesday winning game one by a score of 3-1, and taking game two with a 7-5 win.

Taty Forbes was 6-for-8 in the two games, while Morgan Noad hit a three-run homer -- her 19th of the season -- to total three RBIs. Kelsey Dominik (16-10) got the win in the circle in both games, while Mackenzie Conrad earned the save in both games.

In game one Forbes was 4-for-4 with one run scored, while Chiusano was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. In addition to being the winning pitcher, Dominik was officially 1-for-1 with two RBIs.

In the first game the Chanticleers put a run on the board in the top of the first to take an early lead over Campbell. Dominik hit a sac fly sending Chiusano home to make it 1-0.

In the top of the third after Chiusano singled, she attempted to steal second but was tagged out for the first time this season. Forbes and Noad followed with base hits to place runners on the corners. Then, Dominik was walked to load the bases for CCU. But, Conrad grounded out to end the inning.

The teams traded zeroes until the top of the fifth when Coastal added two runs. Chiusano and Forbes each singled followed by a Noad walk to load the bases for the Chants with one out. Dominik was walked, plating Chiusano. Then, Conrad roped an RBI single to score Forbes for a 3-0 advantage.

The Fighting Camels added a run in the bottom of the fifth as Madison Casto scored on a bases loaded walk, cutting the Chants lead to 3-1. Conrad then took over in the circle and induced a ground out to end the inning.

Dominik pitched 4.1 innings to earn the win with three strikeouts while scattering six hits. Conrad recorded her second save of the season pitching 2.2 innings with two strikeouts.

In game two, Noad led the team going 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs while Chiusano (2-for-5) and Forbes (2-for-4) scored a run each.

The Camels took an early lead, 1-0, in the bottom of the first with Melissa Tullar hitting an RBI double.

After three scoreless innings, Coastal plated three runs to take the lead in the top of the fifth. Chiusano and Forbes singled, but thanks to a Campbell fielding error, Chiusano advanced to third. Then, Forbes stole second and Noad belted a three-run homer over the right field fence scoring Chiusano and Forbes to take the lead 3-1.

In the top of the sixth, Timi Tooley delivered a double to left field. Adriana Toro hit a single to put runners on the corners. Alvino followed with a RBI double to send Tooley and pinch runner Devon Steiner home pushing Coastal to a 5-1 advantage. Chiusano followed with a single then stole second with Forbes at bat. Forbes delivered an RBI single to score Alvino to make it 6-1 in CCU's favor.

Coastal added one more run in the top of the seventh. Adriana Toro was walked and Alvino reached on a fielder's choice. Pinch hitter Annie Robinson delivered an RBI single to give the Chants a 7-1 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Campbell responded with a grand slam from Caroline Smith to cut the Camels deficit 7-5, which proved to be the final score.

Dominik notched her second win of the day as she fired four strikeouts and Conrad snagged her second save.

The Chants return to action Wednesday evening to close out the series versus Campbell with a 7 p.m. first pitch. The matchup will be streamed live on ESPN3.
