Women's Tennis Hosts Battle at the Beach

The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team began its final fall event on Friday with the CCU Battle at the Beach at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chanticleers had a good start to the weekend, finishing with a combined 11-4 record in singles and doubles against UNC Wilmington, UNC Greensboro and Campbell.
Coastal split a pair of doubles matches against UNCW, with Natalie Wall and Somer Dalla-Bona recording the victory. Jessie Mount and Alexa Tiefel also picked up singles wins against Roustan and McGraw of Campbell.
Doubles continued against Campbell, with Rylie Cox/Sara Bondar and Iryna Vardanian/Maria Khomchenko winning two of the four matches.
The Chants had a great outing against UNCG in singles, winning on six of the seven courts. Cox, Vardanian, Dalla-Bona, Wall and Mount each won in straight sets, while Bondar claimed her victory in three.
The CCU Battle at the Beach concludes on Saturday.
