Coastal Carolina's women's indoor track and field team placed eighth in its first Sun Belt Indoor Championships with 24.5 points.
Day two concluded with the Chanticleers moving up one spot after scoring just four points on the first day of competitions. Texas State walked away with the women's title with 166 points between the two days, Texas-Arlington (99), Appalachian State (98), South Alabama (73.5), and Arkansas State (70) rounded out the top five.
Emma Kroger started the scoring for Coastal on the day by finishing seventh in the pole vault and earning 1.5 points.
After qualifying in two events on Monday, Carina Frey placed sixth (7.64) in the 60 meter dash and then seventh (24.98) in the 200 meter dash to score five points.
Anacia Hines finished in eighth (9.12) in the 60 meter hurdles.
Annie Bothma earned First Team All-Conference, by placing first (16:25.88) in the 5000 meter run scoring 10 points.
A sixth place finish in the 4x400 relay (3:50.58) by the team of Hesmari Coetzee, Imani Boatwright, Olivai Coopwood, and Tiffany Harris closed out the scoring for the Chants.
