Coastal Carolina Track and Field Wraps Up at 49er Classic

The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 49er Classic Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.

After qualifying with the sixth fastest time on Friday, Carina Frey competed in finals of the 100m dash finished seventh with a time of 12.49.

Kyla van Graan paced the field in the 3000m to finish first in 9:57.04.

Anacia Hines placed seventh in the 100 hurdles at 14.65, improving on her qualifying time of 14.71.

Hesmari Coetzee qualified with the third fastest time in the 400 hurdles (1:01.16), the fastest time in the Sun Belt Conference.

The women's 4x800m relay team finished first at 9:31.39.

The field portion of the day, Caroline Pallini placed sixth in the discus with her toss of 37.80m.

In the women's javelin, Chloe White's toss of 43.78m was enough for second, and Morgan Boyle finished fifth on her throw of 41.87m.

The men's running events saw several times that are at the top of the Sun Belt Conference top times.

Therius Styles after qualifying third fastest in the 200m dash finished first in the finals with a Sun Belt Conference top time of 21.31.

Braylon Wilkerson finished fourth at 48.03 in the 400m, also a top Sun Belt time.

The Chanticleers had a one two finish with Kevondre Hunt finishing first in Sun Belt top time of 14.10, and Keishaun Limehouse second at 14.36.

Tre Stanley's qualifying time of 53.02 in the 400 hurdles is tops in the Sun Belt, while Jerome Coaxum finished second in the finals with a time of 53.52.

The Coastal Carolina's 4x100m relay finished fourth with 41.73, and the 4x400m relay finished with a Sun Belt top time of 3:13.39. The 4x800m relay team finished second with 7:53.51.

Zach Bolton's distance of 15.88m in the shot put was enough for fifth, and Kieran Moore was eighth with his toss of 14.76m.

The Coastal Carolina teams will compete in a split events, Weems Baskin Relays and Raleigh Relays, March 24-25.
