CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team won its third straight match Tuesday afternoon as the Chanticleers held Delaware scoreless in a 7-0 decision at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chants (9-7, 1-1) took the doubles point on courts two and three before sweeping all six singles courts to complete the shutout.
Francesco Migliano and Francesco Cori Gamero started the match with a 6-0 blanking of Roy Cheng and Luis Marcano on the third doubles court. Zak Talic and Sebastian Schneider then clinched the opening point with a 6-3 victory over Tyler Flematti and Dominick Perez at No. 2.
Luiz Faria opened singles with an unblemished 6-0, 6-0 win on the second court. Jose Ortega (No. 6) and Schneider (No. 3) followed with straight-sets wins to provide the final points needed to seal the win.
Migliano (No. 4) and Vuk Velickovic (No. 1) also won in straight sets, while Talic took the fifth court in the only match that was extended to a third set.
Coastal closes the month of March with a 3 p.m. match at Elon on Friday before beginning April with a three-match home stand at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
