ORLANDO, Fla. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team finished off its Orlando trip Tuesday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over Creighton.
Coastal (5-6) came from behind in the win after surrendering the initial doubles point. The Chants won on five of six singles courts.
Creighton's third pairing of Arnando Gandini Aaron Chalstrom started doubles with a 6-4 victory. The second court went in Coastal's favor, as another 6-4 decision by Sebastian Schneider and Zak Talic evened the point. Creighton prevailed on the first court to seal the point, as Harrison Lang and Brooks Kendall won 7-5.
Vuk Velickovic opened singles with a straight-sets win on the top court to even the match. Francesco Migliano (NO. 4) and Talic (No. 5) followed with straight-sets wins of their own to give Coastal a commanding 3-1 lead. Luiz Faria then clinched the match for Coastal on the second court, defeating Lang in three sets.
Schneider provided Coastal's final point at No. 3, and Aaron Chalstrom provided Creighton's lone singles point in the last match to go final at No. 6.
Coastal starts a three-match home stand on March 10 when its hosts James Madison.
