Men's Tennis Captures One Doubles Championship at Elon Invite

ELON, N.C. - The Elon Fall Invitational concluded Sunday with the Coastal Carolina doubles pairing of Francesco Cori-Gamero and Gonzalez Achondo winning the championship match of the Phoenix doubles flight, 8-6.
The Chanticleer duo had advanced to the final with wins over pairs from Elon and James Madison, and claimed the title by defeating Anghel/Georgl from East Carolina.
Zak Talic and Paul Boulay were the second Chanticleer pairing participating in a championship match on Sunday, but fell to Furman's Mitrick/Munns in the final of the Gold doubles flight.
In the Maroon doubles flight, Lawrence Perrin and Luiz Faria won the third-place match over Clemson's Baudry/Kelaidis.
The Chants' fall schedule continues next weekend with the South Carolina Intercollegiate Championship.
