JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team finished tied for second at the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic. It was the second-consecutive week the Chanticleers have come away with a second-place finish.
CCU finished the three-day event with an 881 (291-288-302) and tied with in-state rival College of Charleston for second-place.
Freshman
Jenjira Jinangkul had another strong showing finishing among the top-10 finishers. She shot a 76 in today's action and finished tied for eighth with a three-over 219 (76-67-76).
The Chants had a trio of finishers with six-over 222's.
Frantiska Lunackova shot a 74 in today's action to register her 222 (75-73-74) while
Tiffany Arafi (73-74-75) and
Marie Lunackova (72-74-77) also finished with three-day total scores of 222. The three Chants all finished tied for 16
th overall.
Stephanie Henning finished with a 228 (72-78-78) and was tied for 39
th.
Victoria Parker finished her three-day total with a 241 (84-83-83).
After playing three-consecutive weeks, the Chants will get some time off before their next event Oct. 14-16 at the Magnolia Invitational in West Point, Miss. The Invitational will be played at the Old Waverly Golf Club and will be co-hosted by Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
