CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team concluded competition at the Charlotte 49er Invite on Saturday with an 8-5 combined record in singles and doubles.
 
Saturday's record brings the Chants' overall total for the weekend to 17 wins and just 12 losses in singles and doubles.
 
Coastal started Saturday's action with doubles against Charlotte. The Chants and 49ers played to even 2-2 draw with Somer Dalla-Bona/Jessie Mount winning on the third court, and Coastal's Maria Khomchenko pairing with Charlotte's Avery Watson to win on the fifth court.
 
The day continued with doubles against Wofford. Coastal had the upper hand in this session, winning two of three matches over the Terriers. Jennifer Brown/Alexa Tiefel claimed the No. 2 match, while Dalla-Bona/Jessie Mount won their second match of the day at No. 3.
 
Coastal and Wofford then switched to singles, with the Chants once again coming out on top with a 4-2 record. Mount won her match in straight sets at No. 4, while Viktorija Demcenkova (No. 1), Alicia Zduniak (No. 2) and Tiefel (No. 6) won their respective matches in three sets.
 
Coastal returns to action in two weeks at the ITA Carolina Regional.
