Conway, S.C. – Coastal Carolina football will wrap up its home slate this weekend with a Sun Belt Conference game versus Georgia Southern on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. ET at Brooks Stadium.
Saturday's contest will serve as Military Appreciation Day, Faculty and Staff Day, and Senior Day for the Coastal football seniors.

Military Appreciation Day
• Coastal Carolina University's Department of Athletics and the Office of Veterans Services are partnering with Patriotic Productions to set up a 4,000-square-foot memorial outside of Brooks Stadium as part of Military Appreciation Day as the Chanticleers host Georgia Southern at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Remembering Our Fallen memorial is a photographic war memorial that honors our country's fallen soldiers from the War on Terror (Sept. 11, 2001-present). Unlike brick-and-mortar memorials,
Remembering Our Fallen is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos.

Series versus Georgia Southern
• Saturday's contest at Brooks Stadium will be the fifth meeting all-time between the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and the Georgia Southern Eagles.
• The Chanticleers are 1-3 all-time versus the Eagles with the lone win coming in last year's season finale at Brooks Stadium (W, 28-17 - Dec. 2, 2017).

Bowl Bid on the Line
• The Chanticleers are just one win away from becoming bowl eligible in its first year of eligibility after two transition seasons from FCS to FBS.
• CCU is looking to join five other Sun Belt teams that have already become bowl eligible in Troy, Appalachian State, Georgia Southern, ULM and Arkansas State.
Snap Out of It
• Both the Chanticleers and the Eagles enter Saturday's contest on a two-game losing streak.
• Coastal is coming off back-to-back home losses in each of the last two weeks to Appalachian State (Nov. 3) and Arkansas State (Nov. 10).
• Georgia Southern has dropped two-straight Sun Belt Conference games at ULM (Nov. 3) and versus Troy (Nov. 10).

Surf Turf Hosting the Myrtle Beach Bowl
• ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, is adding a new bowl game to its roster beginning in 2020 with the creation of the Myrtle Beach Bowl. The game will feature matchups from three conference partners – Conference USA, Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference. Each conference will participate up to four times between 2020 and 2025.
