Conway, S.C. – A total of 22 Chanticleer student-athletes took part in Coastal Carolina's 2018 Fall commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 14, at the HTC Center with more than 35 percent of the Chant student-athlete graduates either earning honors or receiving a graduate degree.
Headlining the group were six Chanticleers who graduated with honors, including
Sara Boothe of volleyball (magna cum laude),
Henrik Mueller of men's soccer (summa cum laude),
Adam Lawhorn of football (cum laude),
Malcolm Williams of football (cum laude),
Kahlim Denmark of men's track and field (cum laude) and
Romario Piggott of men's soccer (cum laude).
Nine of the 22 Chants who earned their degrees came from the football program, including
James Heft, who picked up his Master of Business Administration. Volleyball standout
Leah Levert earned a master's degree in liberal studies.
Men's soccer had three graduates, followed by two student-athletes each from baseball, men's golf, volleyball, and men's track and field. Women's basketball and women's golf each had one graduate over the weekend.
