CCU Set to Play at Wofford

CONWAY – The Chanticleers will hit the road for the seventh seventh time this season when they travel to Spartanburg to face Wofford.

• CCU and Wofford will meet for the fourth time in the series.
• Wofford owns a 2-1 lead in the series and has won the last two games, both in Conway, by close scores.
• In last season's game, the Terriers shot 55 percent from the field and hit 56 percent of its three-point attempts in the narrow victory.
• Down the stretch the Terriers were able to keep the Chants just out of reach hitting 17 of its 22 free throws.
• CCU's Jaylen Shaw had been honored before the game for scoring his 1,000th career point, led the Chants with a career-high 26 points.
• The Chants lone win in the series came in the 2015-16 season when CCU went into Spartanburg and defeated the Terriers 71-63.
• CCU is coming off a solid 75-66 home win over high-scoring Hampton.
Zac Cuthbertson led the way collecting his fifth double-double, and third consecutive with 22 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
• Three other players reached double-digits with Tyrell Gumbs-Frater scoring 12, Ajay Sanders 11 and Tre Brown 10.
• Cuthbetson is fourth in the Sun Belt in scoring (20.6), first in FG percentage (.559), first in rebounding (9.9), 10th in assists (3.2), fifth in assist-turnover ratio (1.7), first in defensive rebounds (7.3) and tied for fifth in offensive rebounding (2.6)
• After today's action, the Chants will have two games remaining during the month of December before the Christmas break and before the start of conference play ... Dec. 16 CCU will host North Carolina Central at 2 p.m. and will play at College of Charleston Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.
• The Terriers enter the game coming off a 112-58 win over Kentucky Christian.
• For the second straight game the Chants will face a team averaging over 80 points per game, as the Terriers are averaging 80.8 points per game.
• Wofford has won five of its past six games, with the lone loss over that time span being a road loss at Kansas.
• Fletcher Magee has been a thorn in CCU's side the past two seasons scoring 27 points and 26 last season ... He is Wofford's leading scorer averaging 17.7 points per game.
• Cameron Jackson has always been a solid post player for Wofford, but is having his best season averaging over 13 points per game and a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game ... He is also shooting over 56 percent from the field.
• The third Terrier to average double-figures is Magee's guard-mate Nathan Hoover ... He averages 12.5 points per game and is the team's best three-point shooter at 44 percent.
• Wofford is shooting 46 percent from the field and 38 percent on its three-point attempts ... They shoot 68 percent at the free throw line.
