CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's soccer program and head coach Paul Hogan will welcome seven freshmen from Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia as part of its 2018 signing class.
"I am excited to announce this 2018 recruiting class. This is a well-rounded group of young women on and off the field who will help contribute to the culture of our program," said Coach Hogan. "These players bring a wide variety of attributes that will allow them to make an impact from day one."
Loranna Austin (Blythewood, S.C.), Mackenzie Cherry (Atlanta, Ga.), Jordan Farley (Chesapeake, Va.), Gianna Flowers (High Point, N.C.), Brayleigh Jones (Outer Banks, N.C.), Emilia Leturgez (Point Pleasant, N.J.), and Caeden Price (Duluth, Ga.) will continue their soccer careers at Coastal Carolina beginning the fall of 2018.
Loranna Austin | Blythewood, S.C. | Forward
Blythewood High School and South Carolina United FC
"Loranna is a true goal-scorer! She is a hardworking and intelligent player with a nose for goal. Lo was our first 2018 commitment and we are very excited about this in-state talent. I think Tomasz at South Carolina United has done a great job in her development and we expect this to continue when she arrives on campus. She is also going to raise the bar in the classroom for our program. She is equally hard working and dedicated to her academics which will serve her well at Coastal Carolina."
Mackenzie Cherry | Atlanta, Ga. | Defender
Creekview High School and Concorde Fire
"Mackenzie is another player from the Concorde Fire Soccer Club for us that came on our radar late in the process. She is an athletic center back with big potential as a college soccer player. We think she has grown a lot in the last year in her club setting under Sue Patberg and we anticipate that she will continue to develop once she joins us this August."
Jordan Farley | Chesapeake, Va. | Defender
Grassfield High School and Virginia Rush
"Jordan is another athletic defender who we are very excited to add to our 2018 class. She is an energetic and hardworking player who we think will fit in well with our system. She
Gianna Flowers | High Point, N.C. | Midfielder/Forward
Southwest Guilford High School and 99PTFC Lady Black
"Gianna is a player that we had our eye on for a long time. Her work rate and athleticism are two qualities that stood out to us immediately. She is very talented and has a ton of upside. She has not seen her best soccer yet! We feel very lucky to have coaxed Gianna out of North Carolina."
Brayleigh Jones | Outer Banks, N.C. | Midfielder
First Fleet High School and Virginia Rush
"Brayleigh is probably our most versatile player in this class. I think she has the ability to play a variety of positions for us. Her
Emilia Leturgez | Point Pleasant, N.J. | Defender/Midfielder
Point Pleasant Borough High School and Cedar Stars Academy USSDA
"Emilia has South Carolina roots and we are glad she has decided to return home. Her athleticism and physicality are two of her strengths that we are excited to have in our program. Along with her physical attributes, she has the ability to organize and can be vocal when needed."
Caeden Price | Duluth, Ga. | Defender
Greater Atlanta Christian School and Concorde Fire
"We are very excited about Caeden and believe that her speed and athleticism will be a great addition
"Just as in years past, we feel that we have been able to attract better and better talent and this class is no different. Not only are
