Final Stats

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The final two matches of this weekend's Jacksonville trip resulted in a pair of losses for the Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team. The Chanticleers were swept by North Florida in the morning match before being narrowly defeated by Jacksonville, 3-2, in the weekend's final match.

The winless weekend drops the Chants to 0-10 overall, including an 0-8 mark against ASUN opponents.

In the day's first match, UNF won by default on the fifth court to take a 1-0 advantage. The Ospreys then won courts one, three and four in straight sets. The second court was won in three sets, with UNF's Taryn Griffey and Chaney Howard outlasting Aleksandra Djuric and Leah Hardeman, 15-11, in the third.

In the day's second match it was Coastal that won by default on the fifth court, giving the Chants a 1-0 lead over Jacksonville. Coastal's second point of the match came at No. 2, which featured a three-set win by Carla Cahill and Dora Lulic. The Dolphins won the first and fourth courts in straight sets, while Tanner Gauthier and Kinga Windisch fell in three sets to Shelby Babowicz and Savannah Siegrist at No. 3.

Coastal returns to action on Wednesday to host its only two home matches of the season. The Mercer Bears come to Conway for a midweek doubleheader, with the opening match scheduled for noon. The two matches are also Coastal's last of the season against an ASUN opponent.
