ATLANTA, Ga. - After falling behind 3-0, the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team rallied to defeat Sun Belt opponent South Alabama, 4-3, Saturday afternoon in a neutral-site match in Atlanta.

Saturday's win is the eighth straight for Coastal, which improves to 15-5 overall and 3-1 in conference matches.

South Alabama took an early 1-0 lead as it captured the doubles point with a 6-2 win on the first court, and a close 7-5 win on the third court. The second doubles match went unfinished.

The Jags furthered their advantage as they took the first two singles points on courts one and three, respectively.

Natalie Wall got Coastal on the board first, winning in three sets at No. 5. Rylie Cox followed at No. 2 with a straight-sets win that was taken to extras in both. The tying point was provided by Jessie Mount, defeating Patricia Martins in three sets at No. 6.

The match-deciding point came down to the fourth court, where Sara Bondar overcame a second-set loss to outlast Maxine Palmen in the third set, 7-5.

Sun Belt action from Atlanta continues on Sunday as Coastal takes on Troy.
