ATLANTA, Ga. - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team suffered a close 4-3 loss to Troy Saturday in a neutral-site match played in Atlanta.

With the loss in its final Sun Belt match of the regular season, Coastal falls to 15-6, 3-2. The loss also snapped the Chants' eight-match winning streak.

Coastal won the doubles point and took the first singles point for a 2-0 lead before Troy won four of the final five singles point to take the match.

The Chants swept the doubles point with all three pairs winning by 6-4 scores.

Sara Bondar won the singles point at No. 4, defeating Nancy Karaky in straight sets.

Troy got on the board thanks to a three-set win by Jiayuan Xue over Somer Dalla-Bona at No. 3. Coastal's Iryna Vardanian responded by taking the No. 1 court to give the Chants a 3-1 lead.

The final three points were won by the Trojans, beginning with the fifth court and followed by No. 2 and No. 6. All three were decided in three sets.

Coastal returns to the Stevens Tennis Complex to close out the regular season, hosting DePaul at 10 a.m. on April 14.
