Coastal Carolina Women's Soccer to Host Summer Camps

Coastal Carolina women's soccer program will host a series of summer camps throughout the months of June and July.
There will be two youth day camps to help introduce the game to newcomers and develop those that have already started playing. The first youth camp will be held in the Market Common area of Myrtle Beach and the second youth camp will be on the campus of Coastal Carolina. The girl's residential camp is geared more towards middle school and high school aged players who want to take their game to the next level.

Youth Camp 1
June 11-14
Boys and Girls ages 4-14
Location: Market Common
Time: 9:00 a.m. -- 12:00 p.m. (early drop off available)
Cost: $125 (additional $10/day for early drop off)
Youth Camp 2
June 18-21
Boys and Girls ages 4-14
Location: CCU Intramural Soccer Fields
Time: 9:00 a.m. -- 12:00 p.m. (early drop off available)
Cost: $125 (additional $10/day for early drop off)
"This camp is run by the men's and women's soccer Coaches at Coastal Carolina with help from our CCU players. Our desire is to engage and inspire the local soccer community through our camps. Our youth day camps are a great way to introduce new soccer players to the game and also help develop those who have already started playing," stated women's soccer head coach Paul Hogan! "We have a ton of fun, learn many different skills and scrimmage throughout the week. We have fun themed days as well including Wacky Hair Wednesday and Jersey Days. For the first time, we are bringing one of our camps to the Myrtle Beach! Our first camp will be held at the Market Common and our second will be on campus at Coastal Carolina."
Residential Camp
July 12-15

Location: Coastal Carolina Campus
Cost: $525 residential campers, $375 commuter campers
"Our Coastal Carolina Girls residential camp is designed for the player who wants to take their game to the next level while experiencing all that Coastal Carolina University and the local Myrtle Beach area have to offer. The Coastal Carolina Soccer Staff, our players, and other local college coaches will put the girls through technical and tactical sessions," Hogan said. "We will also be offering a Goalkeeper School along with camp. We will put goalkeepers through a variety of exercises to teach all the proper technical skills related to goalkeeping. This training along with teaching goalkeepers the tactical nuances of being a successful GK in today's game will be addressed."
