Coastal Baseball in the Polls 2018 

Coastal in the Finals NCAA Stats (2000-18) 

CONWAY - After winning 40 games for the 14th time in the 23-years of the Gary Gilmore era, winning both the Sun Belt regular season and tournament championships and hosting an NCAA Regional for the fourth time, the Coastal Carolina baseball program ended the season ranked 24th in two of the final polls, while finishing 26th and 28th in two other polls.

The Chanticleers (43-19) were 24th in both Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association polls to mark the eighth time since 2005 Coastal was ranked in a final national poll.

In addition to ranking in the national polls, Coastal ranked among the NCAA top 30 in the following statistical categories:
- Base on Balls (3rd, 359).
- Doubles (4th, 145).
- Scoring (4th, 8.0 runs per game).
- Runs Scored (5th, 499).
- On Base Percentage (7th, .404).
- Slugging Percentage (8th, .485).
- Home Runs (9th, 81).
- Fewest Hits Allowed Per 9 Innings (19th, 7.75).
- Winning Percentage (20th, .694).
- Hits (23rd, 614).
- Double Plays (28th, 52).

- ranked among the NCAA top 10 in base on balls four times since 2010.

Individually in 2018:
- Seth Lancaster was the only player in the NCAA to rank among the NCAA top 10 in runs scored (2nd, 81), walks (3rd, 83) and home runs (7th, 20). Lancaster also ranked 27th in total bases (146) and 34th in slugging percentage (.646)
- Kevin Woodall Jr. ranked 8th in runs scored (71), 11th in home runs (19), 36th in RBI (62) and 40th in total bases (141)
- Cory Wood ranked 17th in walks (52).
- Kieton Rivers ranked 27th in sac bunts (12).
- Jason Bilous ranked 39th in strikeouts per nine innings (11.34)
