Chants Tied For Tops In Sun Belt With Three Sports With Highest GPA

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – On Wednesday, the Sun Belt Conference announced it's highest grade point averages among it's 16 sports for the 2017-18 academic school year and Coastal Carolina University was tied for the top school with three sports receiving the highest marks.
The Chanticleer women's tennis team finished the academic year with the second-highest GPA in the conference with 3.88. Men's cross-country finished 2017-18 with a team grade point average of 3.51 and men's tennis had a 3.47.
In terms of the number of teams with the highest grade point averages, the Chants were tied with Arkansas State that had football (3.90), women's golf (3.87), and women's volleyball (3.65) with highest GPA in those respective sports.
