Chanticleer's Track and Field Announces 2018 Schedule

Track & Field Releases 2018-19 Schedule
CONWAY – On Friday afternoon, Coastal Carolina University and the Director of Track & Field, Sandy Fowler announced its upcoming schedule for 2018-19 season.
The Chanticleers are set to begin the indoor portion of their season in Columbia, South Carolina at the Gamecock Inaugural on January 18-19 and then to be followed by two other away meets, which includes the Liberty Kick-Off in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 25-26 and the USC Open in Columbia at the USC Open on February 16.
The outdoor portion of schedule begins on March 8-9 and for the second consecutive year the Chanticleers will start off the year by hosting Coastal Carolina Invitational in their home away from home, Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
After going to Winthrop for the Adidas Winthrop Invitational on March 21-23, the Chants will have back-to-back weekends that are a staple on their recent yearly schedule. On March 29-30, the Chanticleer sprinters and distance runners will compete at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, followed by the Bill Carson Invitational hosted by East Carolina University
Coastal Carolina will be making its third and fourth trips to Columbia in consecutive weekends for the Gamecock Invitational and then the USC Open, April 13 and 20 respectively.
After renovating the Coastal Carolina Track and Field Facility, CCU will host their first on campus home meet on April 27 since 2014's Battle at the Beaches.
Post-season action will take place on May 10-12 at the Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Championships.
NCAA action will begin after a two-week break at the NCAA East Prelims on the campus of University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium on March 10-12. Athletes that qualify for the Championship round will then head to University of Texas at Austin at Myers Stadium on June 5-8.
