Tiffany Arafi shot a 5-under 67 in today's second round of the Lady Paladin Invitational helping the Chanticleers move into third place by the end of the round.

Arafi's 67 is tied for the third best score in CCU program history, tying former standouts Malene Krolboll Hansen (10/9/17), Bailey Cocca (3/12/16) and Jessica Alexander (4/6/13). Hansen holds the school record when she shot a 65 in 2015 at the 3M Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate.

It was a round of consistency as the freshmen recorded five birdies on the day with 13 pars. It was the second lowest round of the day, only trailing South Florida's Natalia Villaviecncio's 66. Â It was a bogey-free round. Her two day total is two-under 142 (74-68). She enters the final round of the event tied for second place.

Her round led CCU up a spot into third place as the team finished the day shooting a one-over 289 in today's action. CCU has a two-day total 582 (293-289) and trails second-place Kennesaw State by two strokes (580). Host Furman continues to lead the Invite with a two-day score of 10-under 566 (283-283).

Arafi was not the only Chant to record a solid day as junior
Marie Lunackova came through with a one-under 71. Her second round score gives her a 146 (75-71) and will enter the final round tied for 17th.

Frantiska Lunackova had a solid one-over 73 (37-36) in today's round. Her two-day score of 145 (72-73) has her sitting in a tie for 12th place entering tomorrow's final round.

Along with fellow freshman Arafi,
Jenjira Jinangkul has had her own excitement this season after her ace in last week's first round. She finished yesterday's round with a 78 (39-39) and has a two-day score of 150 (72-78) and is tied for 40th.

Alexandra Naumovski shot a 79 (40-39) in today's round. She enters tomorrow in a tie for 69th place with a 156 (77-79).

Stephanie Henning and
Victoria Parker have been playing as individuals in the event and both have had a solid first two days. Parker shot a three-over 75 in today's round which is her third best career scoring round. She has a 151 (76-75) heading into tomorrow's round and is tied for 44th.

Henning shot a four-over 76 today and has a two-day total of 150 (74-76). Heading into the final round she is tied with teammate Jinangkul in 40th place.
