CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina University men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought overtime game to William & Mary 1-0 at the CCU Soccer Complex.

It was a game that saw both teams have multiple opportunities to score but could not find the back of the net until Alexander Levengood scored on an assist from Diba Nwegbo in the 95th minute.

The visitors took 12 shots in the game with Levengood's three a team-high. The Tribe had three shots on goal. They also had one shot hit the post and another bounce off the crossbar.

CCU also took 12 shots in the game with Tsiki Ntsabeleng taking a game-high four. Ntsabeleng had his best chance to score early in the second half when a foul on the Tribe occurred in the box for a penalty kick. Ntsabeleng's kick went over the crossbar for the missed opportunity.

Later in the second half, DZ Harmon took a shot from just inside the right side of the box that ricochet off the post as the Chants finished the game with six shots on goal.

Alberto Ciroi was in goal for the Chanticleers and had two saves for the match, while W&M's Kieran Baskett finished with six.

The Chants will now be on the road for its next four games starting with a game in Conway, Ark., against Sun Belt newcomer Central Arkansas. That game will be the Sun Belt Conference opener for CCU and is set for Friday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. (ET).
