Sigurvinsdottir Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Team

Coastal Carolina women’s soccer team member earns District 4 first team honors
CONWAY – Coastal Carolina's Sunny Sigurvinsdottir was named to the 2019 Academic All-District® 4 Women's Soccer Team it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) this week.
The junior from Selfoss, Iceland holds a 3.98 GPA in finance.
District 4 represents teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. Sigurvinsdottir was one of 13 players to receive the all-district honor and will now move on to the Academic All-America voting.
The CoSIDA 2019 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced in early December.
