CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina women's tennis team head coach Catherine Hewitt announced the upcoming spring 2020 schedule, which will feature 23 regular-season matches, including 12 home contests at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
"We have a schedule that includes everything that we need to get better throughout the season. Our girls are focused and working hard to be ready for each opportunity," said Hewitt. "What could be better than representing the Chants?"
Coastal opens the season on the road in the state of North Carolina at Charlotte on Jan. 31 and then travels to Campbell two weeks later on Feb. 12 before playing a series of home contests versus Charleston Southern (Feb. 15) and UNC Greensboro (Feb. 22) the next two weeks.
Following a road match at South Carolina on Feb. 23, Coastal will return home to host Wofford (Feb. 29), St. Johns (March 1), College of Charleston (March 4), and both East Carolina and North Carolina A&T (March 7) before taking on Keiser (March 9) in Orlando, Fla. over Spring Break.
The Chants will then open up Sun Belt play with Arkansas State at home on March 15 before hosting non-conference contests at home versus both Rutgers (March 16) and Bradley (March 18) in the same week.
CCU will then travel to South Alabama (March 21), Troy (March 22), and Appalachian State (March 25) before returning home to face off against Louisiana (March 27) and ULM (March 29) in Sun Belt Conference play.
Coastal will then make their way to Georgia to play Georgia Southern (April 4) and Georgia State (April 5) before wrapping up the regular season on the road with the final two matches at UT Arlington (April 11) and Texas State (April 12).
The 2020 Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Championship is set for April 23-26 and will be held in Peachtree City, Ga.
