Hudson Named Defensive Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina University's Ky Hudson has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
The sophomore goalie played a total of 188:51 in the Chants' two matches this week. She picked up her third consecutive shutout in a 3-0 road win at Georgia Southern on Thursday with a career-high nine saves in the match.
That career-high did not last long as she recorded 10 saves against Georgia State on Sunday, giving her 19 saves in the two matches. The 10 saves was also tied for the fourth-most saves in a single match in CCU history.
On the season, Hudson now has three shutouts to her credit and 36 saves. She has a solid .818 save percentage and a 1.27 goals-against average.
