CONWAY, S.C. – Starting this Saturday, Dec. 5, Coastal Carolina University and the department of athletics will be enacting a new Football Gameday Traffic Safety Plan for all football games held at Brooks Stadium for the remainder of the season.
 
Fans please be advised and alert for all of the changes listed below:
 
Road Closures:

1. University Blvd. from SC 544 to Chanticleer Dr. West will be closed.
   1. Both ends will be monitored by a trooper from SCHP.
   2. Shuttles and team bus access only will be allowed.

 

2. Tom Trout Dr. from Chanticleer Dr. West to Independence Dr. will be closed.
   1. The parking areas adjacent to these roadways are paid parking and will be monitored by a representative of the Taylor Smith Company.

 

3. Prior to the game all westbound traffic on University Blvd. will be sent north on Chanticleer Dr. West or South onto Quail Run for local traffic. Shuttle traffic will be allowed into the University from both SC 544 and Chanticleer Dr. West.

 

4. After the game, all traffic traveling south on Chanticleer Dr. West will be directed east on to University Blvd. to US 501.
   1. If needed Officers from uniform patrol will flush traffic eastbound at University Blvd. at University Dr. and Chanticleer Dr. East and University Blvd.

 

5. Postgame traffic exiting from the QQ lot will exit on to Chanticleer Dr. West and enter into the traffic flow.
