
Henning Named Outstanding Wall College of Business Student of the Year

Recent graduate was also named the Outstanding Student of the Year for marketing
CONWAY, S.C. – Chanticleer women's golfer Stephanie Henning capped off her academic career at Coastal Carolina University by being named the 2019-20 Outstanding Wall College of Business Student of the Year. She was also tabbed the program's 2019-20 Outstanding Student of the Year for marketing.
A three-time Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar (this year's achievements have not yet been announced), awarded to student-athletes that have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or higher for the entirely of their collegiate career, Henning graduated summa cum laude and with a perfect 4.0-grade point average.
The three-time Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List recipient was a member of the Coastal Carolina President's List (4.0 GPA) all eight semesters of her academic career while playing in 27 tournaments for the women's golf team.
Over her playing career at CCU, Henning recorded a career stroke average of 76.66 and posted five top-20 finishes, highlighted by a 15th-place finish in her collegiate debut at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in the fall of 2016. She also carded eight rounds of par or better for her career, including a low-round 68 in the final round of the Lady Paladin Invitational her junior season.
A member of the 2018 Sun Belt Championship team, Henning also competed for the Chants at the 2018 NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
The marketing major was one of 55 student-athletes to graduate on Friday, May 8, celebrating via a virtual ceremony.
