3. How did your time as a student and student-athlete at Coastal Carolina prepare you for your career and life after college?
The Life After Football meetings with Joe (Moglia) were huge. It gave us a platform to form opinions and constantly made us seek value within ourselves.

I usually come back to campus every summer and fall. It's a totally different place since I started there in 2008.

Living in the dorms as a freshman (Maple 303), meeting my wife in the Commons my freshman year, winning Big South Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore, Phil Hodges' pump-up skits, being voted a team captain in 2012 and winning the football program's first-ever FCS playoff game.

7. How often do you keep in touch with your former teammates?
I speak to the guys of my freshmen class almost daily. A few more than others, but we are constantly in communication.

8. What are some things you enjoy doing in your free time?
Reading (mostly non-fiction).

9. What advice would you have for the current student-athletes at Coastal?
Network! Don't be afraid to ask alumni for help. And "don't be a CAT, be a DOG!"
