Men's Golf Shoots a 299 in Second Round of Isleworth Collegiate

WINDEMERE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team shot an 11-over 299 in Monday's second round of the Isleworth Collegiate and will enter the final round with a 23-over 599.
Senior Connor Newton continues to be the low-scorer for CCU after shooting a four-over 76 in today's action. His two-day total has him with a four-over 148 (72-76) and is tied for 33rd.
Seth Taylor had the best round of the day for CCU with a one-over 73. He is just one shot back of Newton with a five-over 149 (76-73). He is tied for 39th.
Gavin Noble shot a solid three-over 75 in today's action and is tied for 43rd with a six-over 150 (75-75). He had an eagle-two on the par-four eighth hole.
Trey Crenshaw also carded a three-over 75 in the second round and is now tied for 52nd with an eight-over 152 (77-75), while Tyler Gray came in with a five-over 77. He is now tied for 70th with a 14-over 158 (81-77).
Auburn caught first-round leader Arizona State with a seven-under 281 in today's action. They are now tied for first with the Sun Devils entering Tuesday's final round. Illinois is the only other team in the field under par with a three-under 573. North Florida (+1, 577) is fourth after today's action and South Carolina moved up to fifth at three-over 579.
LSU leads the next group of five coming in at six-over 582. They are followed by Central Florida (+10, 586), West Virginia (+11, 587), Florida (+12, 588), and California (+14, 590).
Rounding out the field are Minnesota (+17, 593), SMU (+21, 597), CCU (+23, 599), and Augusta (+26, 602).
