Arafi Named Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week

Senior golfer picked up back-to-back wins
NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina women's golfer Tiffany Arafi was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive time, league office announced on Thursday.
Arafi has been on a tear this fall having and won back-to-back events in the Buccaneer Classic and the Club at Olde Stone Intercollegiate, in record-breaking style.
The senior tied her own school record when she shot a single-round of 64 in the second round of the Buccaneer Classic. She set new program records with a round of eight-under and a three-day total of 201, 15-under par.
During the Club at Olde Stone Intercollegiate, Arafi was the only player to shoot under par in the field and finished with a three-under 213 in picking up the individual title.
Overall this fall season Arafi posted a 69.3 stroke average and finished fourth-or-better in all four events. In five of the 12 rounds she has played, she has scored in the 60's and has 10 rounds of par-or-better scoring. In the latest Golfstat individual rankings, she has moved up to the 10th-ranked player in NCAA Division I golf.
CCU has completed its' fall season and will be back in action Feb. 14-15 at the San Jose Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.
