Hewitt Releases Women’s Tennis 2022 Spring Slate

Coastal Carolina women’s tennis will host 13 matches at the Stevens Tennis Complex
CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's tennis head coach Catherine Hewitt has released the 2022 spring schedule, which includes 13 home matches at the Delan and Lynn Stevens Tennis Complex. The schedule also includes non-conference matches at Clemson, Charlotte, Wofford, East Carolina, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, UNCW, Campbell, James Madison, Presbyterian College, N.C. Central, and SCAD.
The Chanticleer netters will open up the 2022 spring slate at home versus the Wofford Terriers on Jan. 23, before hitting the road for the first time of the spring season to take on Clemson on Feb. 4.
Following the trip to the upstate, CCU will host both SCAD and N.C. Central on Feb. 5 and Presbyterian College one week later on Feb. 11, before returning to the road to face off with former Big South foe Charleston Southern on Feb. 16.
The Chants will wrap up the month of February with back-to-back home matches versus East Carolina and the College of Charleston on Feb. 19 and Feb. 23, respectively, and a road contest at Charlotte on Feb. 25.
Coastal will continue its non-conference slate with a home match versus Campbell on March 2 and a road bout at UNCW on March 5, before jumping into Sun Belt Conference play with consecutive road matches at Georgia State (March 12) and Georgia Southern (March 13).
After hosting future Sun Belt Conference member James Madison on March 16, the Chants will continue their four-match homestand with conference contests versus Texas State (March 18), UT Arlington (March 20), and Appalachian State (March 23).
Coach Hewitt's squad will then return to the road for a conference matchup with Arkansas State on March 26 and then return home to conclude their home schedule with back-to-back SBC matches versus ULM (April 1) and Louisiana (April 3).
CCU will close out its 2022 regular-season schedule with matches on the road at Troy (April 9) and South Alabama (April 10).
The 2022 Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Championship will take place April 21-24 at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Ga.
