Conway, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will return to action this weekend for a Sun Belt Conference match against Georgia Southern on Sunday, March 14. First serve is slated for noon ET.
Fans will be allowed.
Health and safety protocols for attendance will remain in place to include, but not limited to:
- Face coverings WILL BE required.
- Maintain physical and social distancing at all times.
- NO congregating between individuals or groups outside of your affiliated party.
- NO interaction with student-athletes and coaches at any time.
Coastal Carolina University and the Department of Athletics is committed to providing a safe environment for the enjoyment of our patrons that attend our home intercollegiate athletic events. Individuals that disregard health and safety protocols may be asked to leave.
The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 2-2 overall record. The Chants are coming off of a 4-3 win against North Florida at home on March 10.
Fifth-year senior
Bastien Huon leads the Chants with a 4-0 singles record and is on a five-match winning streak dating back to last year at Campbell, while junior
Neil O'Connor is on a two match winning streak of his own.
Georgia Southern enters the meeting with an 8-4 record on the year after falling to in-state foe Georgia Tech 7-0 on March 7. Prior to the match on Sunday, the Eagles will be at UNC Wilmington on Saturday, March 13.
Coastal and Georgia Southern have met seven times in men's tennis action. The Chants hold a 4-3 advantage against the Eagles.
