NEW ORLEANS – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team earned the No. 4 seed in the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Championship Tournament this week, April 23-25, in Peachtree City, GA.
Coastal will play Georgia Southern (No. 5) in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 23, at 10 a.m. ET at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.
CCU defeated the Eagles in head-to-head play 4-1 in Conway, S.C. on March 14.
The Chanticleers finished the regular season at 8-8 overall and were fourth in the Sun Belt at 1-2 in conference play.
The Eagles finished the regular season with an 11-9 overall record and were fifth in the Sun Belt at 0-4 in conference play.
Coastal is 1-3 all-time in Sun Belt Tournament play having defeated Georgia Southern 4-3 in the quarterfinals round of the 2019 conference tournament.
The winner of the match will advance to the semifinals to play top-seeded Georgia State on Saturday, April 24.
