• The Chanticleers are 1-1-1 over those three non-conference weekend series, taking two of three games at West Virginia (March 19-21), tying FIU in the four-game series at 2-2 (March 12-14), and dropping two of three on Opening Weekend (Feb. 20-21) versus then-No. 16 Duke.

• The three-game weekend series at Liberty will be the final three games of four-straight road games for the Chanticleers following a three-game home series versus Georgia Southern last weekend (April 16-18).
• In fact, with the Chants' midweek road game at North Carolina on Tuesday (April 20) eight of the Chants' next nine games are slated to be on the road as CCU will play three games this weekend at Liberty (April 23-25), one of two midweek games next week at UNCW (April 27), and then a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Georgia State (April 30-May 2).
SIGNS OF A RESURGENCE
• While the offense has struggled this season for Coastal standards, the Chants have shown signs of a resurgence at the plate the last week in their three wins.
• Last Wednesday, April 14, at UNCW, the Chants had eight different players record a hit as the team hit .351 with eight runs on 13 base hits, five walks, three hit batters, and only seven strikeouts.
• In the Sunday series-finale win over Georgia Southern (April 18), six different Chants had at least one base hit as CCU hit five home runs, a season-high, and scored eight runs in the 8-6 come-from-behind win over the Eagles.
• All five home runs came from a different Chant in the win over the Eagles on Sunday (April 18).
• In their most recent win at North Carolina on April 20, the Chants had only six base hits but four of them were RBI extra-base hits in the way of three solo home runs and a two-run triple.
JOHNNY WHOLE STAFF
• The Chanticleers used
"Johnny Whole Staff" last time out in their 6-3 midweek road win at North Carolina on Tuesday night (April 20), as CCU used a total of nine pitchers.
• All nine Coastal pitchers recorded at least one strikeout on the night and not one of the nine Chanticleer arms threw more than 1.2 innings over the nine-inning road win.
• In fact, the Chanticleers have used six pitchers or more this season in 10 different games and have gone 6-4 overall in those contests.
